Easier Walks
4 to 6½ miles on well-maintained paths. Up to 650ft of ascent in a day. From our hotel we can walk through the pretty countryside to visit the Devil’s Hole, St Ouen’s Bay and Plémont Point. After a day exploring the magnificent north coast we can visit Gerald Durrell’s Zoo. We’ll also take the charming coastal path to Mont Orgueil Castle and the picturesque harbour at Gorey. Harder Walks
7 to 9 miles with some steeper sections on the coast path. Up to1,000ft of ascent in a day. During the week we will pass pre-historic burial chambers on our way to the colourful port of Gorey and walk along the southern cliffs to pretty St Brelade. We will discover the spectacular northern coastline and enjoy views of neighbouring Guernsey and Sark from the north east. Local TransportOn some days the walks start and finish at the hotel. On other days we’ll use the hired transport to explore the surrounding area. The cost of transport to and from the walk is payable locally. Free DayEach week there is a free day where no guided walks are offered. This is an ideal opportunity to relax around the hotel, walk independently, or visit local places of interest. In the EveningsEach evening your walking leaders will tell you about the choice of walks for the next day and answer any questions you may have. During the evening you may like to join in an optional organised evening activity, such as a quiz or a visit to the local skittle alley. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly. There is normally a good mix of ages, of new clients and 'regulars' from Britain and overseas, and of couples, friends and people travelling alone.
