Before You Go

At Terra Travel we have over 20 years experience in organising travel. We would like to share some of this experience by helping make your trip as smooth and trouble free as possible. Please read below for some helpful travel advice before you set out.

Passports

It is imperative that you book your holiday/flights in the same name as appears on your passport.

Some countries now insist on 6 months validity on your passport when entering their country. If you renew in advance the British Passport Agency will transfer up to 9 months remaining validity onto your new passport. So don't delay renewing.

British Passports       Irish Passports

If you are travelling to the USA, on the visa waiver programme, you must have a machine-readable passport, and everyone must have their own passport – no children will be allowed entry on a parent's passport.

Health Advice

Please ensure you have good travel insurance to cover your trip.  An E111 and credit card insurance are useful as extras, but will not give you comprehensive cover in some destinations.  Contract us for a quotation.  If you are travelling abroad speak to your doctor's surgery or read the Department of Health's advice on recommended vaccinations.

ABTA

The Association of British Travel Agents is the UK's Premier Trade Association for Tour Operators and Travel Agents. ABTA provides a range of protection and consumer services, including arbitration. Details of these services are available from the ABTA website.

Terra Travel are registered ATBA members. See here for futher information.

Travel Advice

The Foreign & Commonwealth Office provides a range of information to help the traveller have a safe trip overseas.
